As of today, The Chickenless Kitchen has 50 followers, which I am super psyched about!! I feel lucky to have so many readers who share my weird sense of humor and yet-weirder taste. Thank you all for visiting, and I look forward to sharing much more with you in the future.
While I'm on the subject of followers and such...
Technology doesn't love me as much as you guys apparently do (look at my blog template- just LOOK at it), but despite my dinosauristic tendencies, I have gotten around to some social networking recently:
1) You may now become a fan of The Chickenless Kitchen on Facebook
2) You may now follow @Chickenless on Twitter
Last but ABSOLUTELY not least, thanks again to Cajun Chef Ryan, who recently granted me the privilege of a guest post on his tasty-tastic blog!
Now if I could pick all your brains for just a moment... What do you like about The Chickenless Kitchen so far? What could I improve? Please feel free to leave a comment or write dontbeawuss@gmail.com. Again, thank you so much for taking time out of your busy schedules to visit my little blog!
Beat the eggs. Whip the cream. Show no mercy.

Love your blog and I think you are doing great...we must use the same template, only with different colors, b/c ours look similar:) If only I had a friend who would design something neat for me at no cost!!!
Don't change a thing. Well, maybe you could lose the ironing board as your kitchen prep table. But otherwise, we LOVE your blog!
Yay! It's good to see you in your post - I think that is my only vote for "change" - posting a pic of yourself or an "About" link on your menu. I know for me, I the first thing I do when I find a new blog I like is go look for info about who is writing it... but I'm just a nosy parker! Also, I totally understand that lots of people like to remain somewhat anonymous. :)
NOW, top 3 things I love about Chickenless Kitchen: 1)you live up to your name - always a new daring dish that's super creative. 2) You're hilarious & down to earth in your writing style. 3) your recipes are the sort people want to TRY, not just look at.
Keep it up and congrats on hitting 50!!!
You are doing great with your blog! This takes time and effort and it grows in directions you never dream of, eventually you will tweak it as you go along.
It's like a new house or apartment, starts out with bare walls and floors. Eventually you hang some photos, art, put down a rug here or there, add some new furniture, and before you know it you have a nice looking pad.
Culinarily yours,
CCR

I read your post on Cajun Chef Ryan's blog and meant to say, it's so good to put a face to the blog! You're adorable!! And yes, definitely started following on Twitter and will "fan" you on Facebook. Reminds me that I need to get a "fan" page on Facebook for my blogs.
@Mae and Wasabi... Thanks so much for the encouragement re. posting a personal photo. I'm currently working on (read: "making a graphics-savvy friend work on in exchange for beer") a new banner that will expose my mug to you daily in a much more branded fashion.
Keep the constructive criticism coming, all! Please don't be shy.
Two more things...
First, ya know, Mae is right. I was anonymous and then read something by David Lebowitz saying readers really want to know about the writer. So, I put a picture up that showed my face and I--this was HUGE for me--put in my name. We spend a lot of time "together" in the long run and I think we want to know each other.
Secondly, because of you, I'm about to dive into delicious...wish me luck (you-not-so-technology-challenged-after-all-chick, you!).
I commented but with the new procedures (a la foodbuzz) didn't know if you got it or not. Love reading your blog.your template looks great!
Just keep challenging yourself, that's what's fun about it all, right? Yay you!
what I like about you and your blog - your quirkiness and your recipes, ideas, and writing - all are always so great to read ... I can't say anything about you blog layout, mine is pretty much a mess ...gonna clean it up one day...keep on doing what you do
bwahaha, i ditto Veggie Matter b/c that's just hilarious. i'm also guilty of using unconventional methods in the kitchen.
thanks for the fan info, i've joined both. good luck finding a happy niche, but one that's not too comfortable so you can keep challenging yourself.
Good job. It takes time to slowly tweak the blog. It seems like an ongoing process!
I loved seeing a picture of you (and your cat!) in this post! I think people love your blog because of the way you write - I am always guaranteed a smile or a laugh when I visit! I have been blogging since June 2009 and am constantly tweaking stuff. Am about to do the switch to wordpress now... scaaaaaary!
Chef Ryan is right on! One grows into the whole blogging thing, or at least I did. I just love reading your posts. The experts say great content is way more important than the design of a blog. Don't change a thing until YOU feel comfortable doing it. That way, if you hate it, you'll understand how to fix it! Just keep on posting and I'm sure we'll all keep coming back for more.
I love your blog! Your honesty and humor are great! I do not mind the pale sickly yellow background at all ;)
Love your blog, love your writing, love your attitude. For me changes to my blog happen in bursts. Congrats on your 50 followers.
